Why I Love My Son

This? This will be brief.

This morning, Boo and I watched the entire procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. Okay, mostly he wasn’t paying much attention except for freaking out two-year-old-style over the cool things, like horses and balloons. But then, as if on cue, he watched Will and Kate exit the carriage.

Upon seeing this person, my boy pointed directly to the screen (fingerprints and all) and spoke…

“Mommy. It’s mommy right there.”

Damn, I love this kid. (Okay, granted it wasn’t a close-up, but instead a full-length side shot of her stepping out.) Whatever. I’ll take it.The woman has never birthed a child and wouldn’t know a muffintop if it knocked her off the sidewalk.

I didn’t know whether to hug him to pieces or call the doctor for a prompt eval. Either way, he has clearly made my day…for now.

  1. I can totally see it! The brown hair, the crown you wear on a daily basis, the head to toe couture wear! It’s you, girl!
